【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 인문도시지원사업단(단장 김영)은 교육부와 한국연구재단의 지원을 받아 오는 6월부터 3년간 영주시와 함께 ‘2025 인문도시지원사업’을 추진한다고 31일 밝혔다.

올해 사업은 ‘유의(儒醫)를 품은 선비문화도시 영주, 노블레스 오블리주를 실천하다’를 주제로, 시민들이 전통 의학과 선비문화를 체험하며 인문학적 소양과 생활 속 건강 지혜를 얻을 수 있도록 기획됐다.

1차년도인 2025년에는 ‘인(仁)의 재발견, 영주에서 피어나는 K-의학’을 테마로 인문학 강좌와 한의학 체험이 연계돼 운영된다. 첫 프로그램은 7월 29일 영주시장애인복지관에서 시작되며, 시민들은 ‘K-의학, 실크로드를 매료시키다’라는 인문 강연을 통해 세계 속 한의학의 흐름을 배우고, 이어 ‘영주의 선비향: 퇴계가 사랑한 부용향 향낭 만들기’ 체험을 통해 선비 생활문화를 간접 체험하게 된다.

하반기에는 선비들의 전염병 치유법과 재난 극복 사례를 중심으로 한 인문학 강의와 함께, 한방차 힐링 체험, ‘선비환’ 만들기 등 다양한 전통 의학 프로그램도 진행된다. 시민들은 이를 통해 과거와 현재를 잇는 실천형 인문학을 직접 경험하게 된다.

이번 프로그램은 영주시노인복지관, 제민루, 삼판서고택, 영주문화원, 영주선비도서관 등 지역 곳곳에서 연말까지 순차적으로 진행될 예정이다.

김영 인문도시지원사업단장은 “이번 사업은 시민들이 선비문화의 정신과 유의의 가치를 현대적으로 재해석하고 생활 속에서 실천할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 것”이라며 “많은 시민들이 참여해 지역의 전통을 배우고 건강한 삶의 지혜를 얻길 바란다”고 전했다.

Daegu University of Haany University (President Byun Chang-hoon) announced on the 31st that it will launch the '2025 Humanities City Support Project' in collaboration with Yeongju City for three years, starting in June, with support from the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

This year's project, themed "Yeongju, a City of Scholarly Culture Embracing Confucian Medicine, Practicing Noblesse Oblige," aims to provide citizens with opportunities to experience traditional medicine and scholarly culture, while gaining a deeper understanding of the humanities and gaining practical health wisdom for everyday life.

The first year, 2025, will feature a combination of humanities lectures and Korean medicine experiences, under the theme "Rediscovering Benevolence: K-Medicine Blossoming in Yeongju." The first program will begin on July 29th at the Yeongju City Welfare Center for the Disabled. Citizens will learn about the global trends of Korean medicine through a humanities lecture titled "K-Medicine, Captivating the Silk Road." They will then indirectly experience the lifestyle and culture of scholars through a hands-on experience called "Yeongju's Seonbihyang: Making Buyonghyang Sachets, Beloved by Toegye."

The second half of the year will feature humanities lectures focusing on scholars' methods of treating infectious diseases and overcoming disasters, along with various traditional medicine programs such as a healing herbal tea experience and making "Seonbi-hwan." Through these programs, citizens will gain firsthand experience in the practical humanities that connect the past and present.

This program will be held sequentially until the end of the year at various locations throughout the region, including the Yeongju Senior Welfare Center, Jeminru, Sampanseo House, Yeongju Cultural Center, and Yeongju Seonbi Library.

Kim Young, Director of the Humanities City Support Project, said, "This project will provide citizens with an opportunity to reinterpret the spirit and values of Seonbi culture in a modern way and put them into practice in their daily lives. I hope many citizens will participate, learn about local traditions, and gain wisdom for a healthy life."
