특히 2023년에는 한방병원 부문에서 수상한 바 있어, 명실상부한 산학협력 선도대학으로서의 위상을 다시 한번 입증했다.

대구한의대는 한방·바이오·웰케어 산업을 중심으로 지자체, 산업계, 연구기관과의 유기적 협력 체계를 구축하며 실질적인 산학연 연계를 선도하고 있다.

대표적으로, 대학 내 유휴 공간을 활용해 조성한 ‘THE PLUS Village’에는 바이오헬스 분야 43개 기업이 입주해 있으며, 산학연융합랩, 기초연구랩, 비즈니스랩을 중심으로 기술 개발, 창업, 일자리 창출 등의 성과를 이끌어내고 있다.

또한 소재·바이오·재활의료 산업을 연계한 ‘트라이앵글 클러스터’ 운영을 통해 총 1,360만 달러 규모의 기업 수출 실적을 달성하는 등, 산학협력 기반 기술사업화의 모범사례로 주목받고 있다.

이러한 역량은 정부의 주요 재정지원사업 선정으로도 이어졌다. 대구한의대는 ▲글로컬대학30 사업, ▲산학연협력단지 조성사업, ▲밸류체인컨버전스지원사업, ▲소상공인디지털특성화대학, ▲지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업 등 굵직한 국가사업에 잇달아 선정되며 산학협력 혁신 플랫폼을 지속적으로 확장하고 있다.

아울러, ▲경산동의한방촌, ▲경산체력인증센터, ▲칠곡·청도·성주 어린이급식관리지원센터, ▲영덕군 세대통합지원센터, ▲영덕군 실버복지관 등 지역사회 밀착형 위탁사업도 활발히 운영 중이다. 이를 통해 대학의 특성화 전략과 지역사회 문제 해결을 연계하며 사회적 가치 실현에 앞장서고 있다.

변창훈 총장은 “이번 수상은 대학과 지역이 함께 만들어낸 산학연 협력 생태계의 결실”이라며, “앞으로도 지역사회와 상생하는 세계적 수준의 혁신대학으로 거듭나기 위해 지속적인 노력을 기울이겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Haany University (President Byun Chang-hoon) won the University Award in the Bio-Health Industry Industry-Academic Cooperation category at the ‘2025 National Service Award’ hosted by the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies (IPS), continuing its honor of winning for 6 consecutive years (2020-2025).

Through this, the university is linking its specialization strategy with solving community problems and leading the way in realizing social value.
