【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)가 운영 중인 우즈베키스탄 부하라세종학당(학당장 최형우)이 오는 6월 28일부터 29일까지 양일간, 제9회 세종한국어평가(SKA)를 공식 시행한다고 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 문화체육관광부 산하 세종학당재단이 주관하는 전 세계 한국어 학습자를 위한 의사소통 중심의 종합 한국어 평가다.

이번 SKA는 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기, 말하기 등 4개 영역에 걸쳐 진행되며, 부하라 지역 한국어 학습자들의 언어 능력을 객관적으로 평가하고, 향후 한국과의 학문적·직업적 교류 기반을 마련하는 데 중점을 둔다.

부하라세종학당은 2024년 개소 이후 지역 내 한국어 교육의 중심 기관으로 빠르게 자리매김하고 있으며, 이번 시험 시행을 통해 학습자들의 동기 부여 및 진로 설계에 실질적인 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

특히 해당 학당은 대구한의대의 K-MEDI 한국문화 특화 콘텐츠를 바탕으로 한 수준 높은 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있으며, 부하라 지역사회와의 지속적인 글로벌 협력 모델을 구축해 나가고 있다.

변창훈 총장은 “이번 평가 시행은 단순한 시험을 넘어, 부하라 지역 내 한국어 교육 수요에 부응하는 상징적인 성과”라며, “세종학당이 한국어와 한국 문화 확산의 교두보로 자리매김할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.

한편, 세종한국어평가는 한국어 학습자의 실제 의사소통 능력을 종합적으로 측정하는 평가로, 세종학당재단이 운영 중인 글로벌 공인 시험이다.

Daegu University of Oriental Medicine (President Byun Chang-hoon)'s Bukhara Sejong Institute (Director Choi Hyung-woo) will officially conduct the 9th Sejong Korean Language Assessment (SKA) for two days from Saturday, June 28 to Sunday, June 29, 2025.

This assessment is a comprehensive Korean language assessment centered on communication for Korean language learners around the world, hosted by the Sejong Institute Foundation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This SKA will be conducted across four areas: listening, reading, writing, and speaking, and will focus on objectively assessing the language skills of Korean language learners in the Bukhara region and establishing a foundation for academic and professional exchanges with Korea in the future.

Since its opening in 2024, the Bukhara Sejong Institute has quickly established itself as a central institution for Korean language education in the region, and the implementation of this test is expected to provide practical help in motivating learners and planning their career paths.

In particular, the institute operates high-level educational programs based on Daegu University of Oriental Medicine’s K-MEDI Korean culture-specialized content, and is building a model for continuous global cooperation with the Bukhara community.

President Byeon Chang-hoon emphasized, “This evaluation is not just a simple test, but a symbolic achievement that meets the demand for Korean language education in the Bukhara region,” and “We will spare no support so that the Sejong Institute can establish itself as a bridgehead for the spread of Korean language and culture.”

Meanwhile, the Sejong Korean Language Assessment is an evaluation that comprehensively measures the actual communication skills of Korean language learners, and is a global official test operated by the Sejong Institute Foundation.
