엑스코는 6일, 오는 10월 말까지 대한민국해양수산엑스포, 대구국제차·공예박람회, 케이펫페어와 대한민국안전산업박람회, 대구음식산업박람회, 대구국제미래모빌리티엑스포 등 다양한 전시회를 개최하여 가을 나들이에 나서는 관람객들을 맞이한다고 전했다.

이와 함께 야외 광장에 작은 정원을 조성해 시민들에게 가을을 만끽할 수 있는 도심 속에서 즐기는 자연친화적 휴식공간을 제공한다. 

이상길 엑스코 대표이사 사장은 “풍성한 행사로 시민이 머무르고 여가를 즐길 수 있는 공간이 될 수 있도록 노력하고 있다. 아울러 엑스코 광장을 포함하여 인도, 도로, 인근 공원 등 주변 환경을 정비해 시민 친화적 공간으로 탈바꿈 하겠다”라고 말했다.
