김장호 국민의힘 윤석열 대통령 후보 조직통합본부 행정자치위원회 구미시 위원장이 지역 청년들을 만나 소통 간담회를 가졌다.

이에 김장호 구미시 위원장은 “지역에 대기업이나 강소기업들이 수도권이나 해외로 빠져나가면서 젊은 세대들의 이탈이 가속화되고 있는 실정을 알고 있다”라며 “좋은 일자리를 많이 만들어 청년들이 고향을 떠나지 않도록 하는 것이 기성세대의 책무이자 의무라고 생각한다”며 공감을 전했다.
그러면서 그는 “10년 안에 의성·군위 지역에 들어서는 ‘통합 신공항’이 구미 미래의 지속가능한 신성장동력이 될 것으로 확신한다”며 “윤석열 대통령 후보도 대구경북의 핵심공약으로 통합신공항을 글로벌공항으로 만들어 지역 발전의 동력으로 삼겠다고 발표했다”고 말했다.
