【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=이상길(대구 북구을) 예비후보가 지역 청년들의 목소리를 듣는 ‘2030 청년 간담회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

지난 16일 이상길 예비후보는 선거 사무소에서 열린 청년간담회를 통해 대학생, 취업준비생, 사회초년생, 청년 자영업자 등 30여 명의 지역 청년들을 만나 소통에 나섰다.

이날 이 예비후보는 참석한 청년들과 ▶지역 청년이 살아가기 적합한 대구시와 북구의 미래비전 ▶대구 북구가 가진 잠재력 ▶수도권과 비수도권 격차 해소를 위한 방안 ▶일자리 창출 등 다양한 의견을 나눴다.

이 예비후보는 “19세부터 39세까지 대구 북구의 청년 인구가 10만명이 넘어 전체 북구인구의 23.8%를 차지하고 있을 정도로 비중이 크다며, 북구를 넘어 대구시의 미래를 짊어질 청년들을 위해 지역에서도 꿈과 비전이 현실이 될 수 있도록 지역청년특화정책을 위한 입법에 힘쓰겠다”며 지지를 당부했다.

또한 “대구‧경북 통합 신공항 시대에 대구 북구는 관문도시로서 폭발적인 성장이 기대되는 도시”라며 “운전면허 시험장, 50사단 이전 후적지 등의 기업형 미래도시, 칠곡경북대병원을 중심으로 의료 산업 육성을 통해 양질의 일자리와 창업의 기회를 만들어 낼 것”이라고 얘기하며,  

나아가 “중앙과 지방간의 재원과 권한을 과감히 지방정부 이양, 리쇼어링 기업들의 지방 이전 기업에 대한 지원 정책, 지역 기업 R&D 우선 지원 등 지속적인 해소 노력이 필요하다”며 수도권과 비수도권 격차 해소를 위한 방안을 제시하기도 했다.

이 예비후보는 “입법을 통해 정책과 제도가 원활하게 기능할 수 있도록 길을 터 주는 것이 국회의원의 역할”이라면서 “지역 불균형과 자유민주주의와 시장 경제 질서를 훼손하는 제도를 개선하고, 저출산 문제 해소를 위한 입법에 노력하겠다”는 의지를 내비치기도 했다.

한편 이상길 예비후보는 청년간담회를 시작으로 여성과 아동, 복지 등에 관한 지역 간담회를 계속 이어나갈 계획이다.
