6일 오후 2시 대구시청 동인청사 앞에서 1인 시위에 나선 김태형 예비후보는 “수많은 논란을 일으켜온 홍준표 시장이 매관매직 의혹까지 불거지는 모습에 대구시민들의 자존심은 땅에 떨어졌다”고 비판했다.

그는 “앞에서는 공정과 정의를 강조하면서 뒤로는 추잡한 거래를 해온 홍준표 시장이 과연 공무원들에게 청렴을 강조하며 대구시정을 책임질 수 있을지 의문”이라고 지적했다.

그러면서 “자칭 대권후보인 홍준표 시장은 더 이상 구차한 모습을 보이지 말고, 사퇴해야 한다”며 “자신의 집으로 돌아가는 것이 대구시민에 대한 최소한의 도리”라고 꼬집었다.

그는 “금품제공, 매관매직 의혹으로 점철된 대구의 정치는 일당독재가 그 원인의 하나”라며 “곧 치르게 될 달서구지역 시의원 보궐선거가 일당독재를 깰 수 있는 작은 마중물이 될 수 있기를 바란다”고 덧붙였다.
