진보당 대구시당도 같은 날 논평을 내고, “135주년 노동절은 건설노동자 고 양회동 열사의 2주기이기도 하다”며 “윤석열 정권의 노동자 혐오에 맞서 국민과 함께 대통령 파면이라는 새봄을 열었다”고 평가했다.
진보당은 “노동자들이 일터에서 주인으로 존중받는 사회, 그게 바로 우리가 만들어야 할 새로운 세상”이라며 “홈플러스 노동자들의 투쟁처럼, 현장의 목소리를 끝까지 지켜내겠다”고 밝혔다. 그러면서 “진보당 대구시당은 노동자들과 굳건한 연대로 사회대개혁의 길을 열어가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
