【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=허은아 전 개혁신당 대표가 지난 26일 오후 2시, 대구 더불어민주당 대구시당 김대중홀에서 ‘Hub 민주주의의 회복: 함께 오르는 오르막길’을 주제로 전국 민주당원들과 첫 오프라인 소통 행사를 성황리에 개최했다.

허 전 의원은 지난 5월 더불어민주당에 입당해 새로운 정치 행보를 시작했으며, 이번 행사는 지지자와 당원들의 꾸준한 요청에 힘입어 마련됐다. 이날 행사에서는 분열된 대한민국을 아우르고 민주주의 회복과 당 통합을 함께 모색하는 의미 있는 시간이 이어졌다.

한편 허 전 의원은 과거 국민의힘 비례대표로 정계에 입문한 뒤 개혁신당 대표를 거쳤으나, 올해 초 당내 갈등 끝에 대표직을 사퇴하고 탈당했다. 지난 5월 더불어민주당에 합류하면서 “국민의힘도 개혁신당도 진짜 보수, 진짜 개혁이 아니었다”고 밝힌 바 있다.
