【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=위덕대학교(김봉갑 총장)는 지난 8일 대회의실에서 김봉갑 총장과 포항시 유도회 이문석회장, 전진만 후원회 회장 등이 참석한 가운데 유도부(지도교수 전광수)의 발전과 우수 선수 발굴 및 육성을 위해 후원회 발족식을 가졌다고 10일 밝혔다.
이날 발족된 후원회는 ㈜나우기전 전전만 회장 외 29명의 회원으로 구성됐다.
또한 후원회 발족식에서는 포항시 유도회와의 협정을 통해 위덕대학교 유도부에 대한 적극적인 지원은 물론 우수 선수 발굴과 학생들의 진로 등에 협조하기로 하였다.
이날 전진만 회장은 선수들의 유도복 세탁에 필요한 500만원 상당의 세제를 기탁하였다.
위덕대학교 유도부는 2019년 창단하여 전광수교수, 최성현감독, 진하나감독, 이승엽코치의 지도하에 현재까지 창단 4년 차 전국대회 금메달 6, 은메달 6, 동메달 13의 실적으로 우수한 성적을 거두고 있다. 이중 이경하_경찰정보보안학과 4학년, 이명서_경찰정보보안학과 2학년 2명은 동아시아선수권 유도대회 및 아시아청소년선수권 유도대회에 각각 국가대표로 발탁되어 출전예정으로 국제대회 준비하고 있다.
