【브레이크뉴스 경주】박영재 기자=위덕대(총장 김봉갑)는 지난 14일 뉴질랜드 PIHMS(Pacific International Hotel Management School) 대학과 교류협정을 체결했다고 15일 밝혔다.
PIHMS 대학의 딘 맥컬럼 총장을 비롯한 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행된 이번 협정은 상호간의 교수 및 학생 교류, 연구협력, 학술활동 연계 등을 목적한다.
PIHMS 대학은 호텔경영과 외식관광경영의 학부 및 대학원 과정을 전문적으로 운영하고 있으며, 특히 6개월 수업 및 6개월 현장실습의 특화된 수업방식으로 진행하고 있다.
위덕대와 PIHMS 대학은 양 대학에서 수학한 후 동시에 학위를 취득할 수 있는 세부사항들을 협의하여 복수학위 유학프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.
위덕대 김봉갑 총장은 “오늘 협정이 좋은 결실을 거두어서 활발한 상호교류를 통해 양 대학의 발전에 크게 기여하기를 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, 위덕대는 현재 미국, 일본, 중국, 호주, 필리핀, 베트남, 대만 등의 14개국 60여개 대학과 협정을 맺고 활발한 교류를 이어가고 있다.

Meanwhile, Uiduk University is currently carrying out active exchanges by signing agreements with about 60 universities in 14 countries, including the United States, Japan, China, Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Taiwan.
