위덕대학교(총장 김봉갑) 유도팀이 지난 14일부터 17일까지 4일간 제주복합체육관에서 열린 2021 제주컵 전국유도대회에서 금 4개, 은 2개를 획득했다고 22일 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 전국 규모의 대회로 위덕대학교 유도팀은 이번 대회에서 여대부 -48kg 이경하(3학년, 경찰정보보안학과), -78kg 김세현(1학년, 경찰정보보안학과) 금메달과 여대부 -78kg 임다현(2학년, 경찰정보보안학과), 남대부 -100kg 권오찬(1학년, 경찰정보보안학과) 은메달을 차지하여 2019년 창단 후 최고의 성적을 거두었다.

이번 쾌거는 2019년 창단 후 최고의 성적을 거둔 대회로 개인전 첫 금메달과 단체전 동반우승까지 지도자진과 학생들 모두가 함께 호흡하며 만들어낸 값진 결과로써 대학팀 15개 팀이 출전한 가운데, 특히 단체전 남, 여 동반우승이라는 의미 있는 성과를 올렸다.

위덕대학교 유도팀은 창단 3년이라는 짧은 기간 안에 좋은 결과를 만들었으며, 2022학년도에도 필승을 다짐하며 기대하고 있다.
