지난 7일 철길 숲에서 진행된 정화 활동은 교직원과 학생 10여명이 참석하여 대회 현장에 참여하는 지역민들이 깨끗하고 안전하게 도심을 걸으면서 힐링 할 수 있도록 안전 도우미 활동과 거리 구석구석 버려지고 더럽혀진 환경 정화를 위해 적극적으로 참여했다.

이날 행사에 참여한 양지현 학생은 “우리 지역에 이렇게 좋은 환경을 모든 사람들이 공유하고 아름다운 환경을 가꿀 수 있게 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

위덕사회봉사센터 장덕희 처장은 “교직원과 학생들의 적극적인 참여에 감사하고 지금까지 코로나로 봉사활동이 조심스러웠지만 앞으로는 적극적으로 다양한 지역를 통해 봉사해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
