경산시지식산업지구는 2015년 지구개발사업을 착공해 현재 1단계(3,809천㎡) 공정률 98%로 올해 말 준공을 앞두고 있다. 또, 2단계(953천㎡)는 공정률 60%로 부지조성공사가 진행 중이다.

특히, 1단계 산업 용지 분양률은 93.4%로 일부 외국인 투자구역을 제외하고 전필지 분양을 완료했다. 2단계는 최근 용도를 변경해 분양을 시작, 분양필지에 대하여는 전량 분양을 완료했다. 2단계 전체 분양률은 33.3%이다.
