【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구 수성구청은 지난 3월 4일부터 6일까지 강원도 삼척시 삼척체육관에서 열린 제23회 여성가족부장관기 전국태권도대회 개인전에서 수성구청 여자태권도선수단이 금메달 2개, 은메달 4개, 동메달 2개를 획득해 2년 연속 종합우승을 차지했다고 11일 밝혔다.

먼저 이번 대회 첫날 열린 개인전 –73㎏급 결승에서 김가현 선수가 같은 팀 유경민 선수와 맞붙어 박빙의 승부를 펼치며 소중한 첫 번째 금메달을 안겼다.

-57kg급 류지수 선수도 결승전에 올라 청주시청 정선희 선수를 1라운드 8대4, 2라운드 9대8로 제압하며 두 번째 금메달을 차지했다.

이어 팀 에이스로 올해 국가대표(2진)로 선발된 -53㎏급 강명진 선수는 청주시청 신희진 선수에게 아쉽게 패하며 은메달을, -62kg급 박보의 선수와 주장인 유경민 선수(-73kg), 올해 입단한 막내 최여진 선수(+73㎏)도 각각 은메달을 차지했다.

또한 -49kg급 김지해 선수와 –67㎏급 이진주 선수도 각각 동메달을 보태 선수 전원이 메달을 획득하는 쾌거를 이뤘다.

조성호 수성구청 감독은 “이번 대회 개인전 종합우승은 고된 훈련에 선수들이 잘 따라오고, 올해 새로 영입한 선수가 재기량을 발휘해 이룬 결과다. 특히 선수 전원이 좋은 성적을 내 기쁘고 고맙다”고 말했다.

김대권 수성구청장은 "전국대회에서 늘 좋은 결과를 내는 선수단에 감사드리며 앞으로도 좋은 성적을 거둘 수 있도록 지원과 성원을 아끼지 않겠다“고 밝혔다.
