군에 따르면 이번 수출은 베트남 시장을 타깃으로 봉화사과의 우수성을 해외에 알리고, 향후 수출 확대의 기반을 다지는 계기가 됐다.

현재 능금농협에서는 사과 가격 상승으로 인해 수출이 어려운 상황 속에서도 해외 바이어와의 협력 강화와 수출 확대를 위한 노력을 이어나가고 있으며, 이러한 노력은 봉화사과의 해외 진출확대와 수출 시장 다변화에 중요한 전환점을 마련할 토대가 될 것으로 기대된다.

박현국 봉화군수는 “농업인들의 소득 증대를 위해 해외시장을 적극적으로 개척하고, 다양한 판로를 확대해 봉화사과의 수출 경쟁력을 더욱 강화해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
