【브레이크뉴스 봉화】이성현 기자=봉화군과 (재)봉화축제관광재단이 주최하는 제27회 봉화은어축제가 오는 7월 26일부터 8월 3일까지 9일간 봉화읍 내성천 일원에서 화려하게 펼쳐진다.

본격적인 축제를 앞두고 10일 봉화군청 대회의실에서는 축제의 성공적인 개최를 위한 실행계획 보고회가 열렸다. 

이날 보고회에는 박현국 봉화군수(재단 이사장)를 비롯해 최창섭 대표이사, 재단 이사, 추진위원회, 군청 실과소장 및 읍·면장 등 100여 명이 참석해 축제 전반에 대한 준비 상황을 점검하고 의견을 나눴다.

올해 축제는 ‘여름 잡은 봉화, 입맛 잡은 은어’를 슬로건으로 내세우며, 봉화의 청정 자연 속에서 여름 피서를 즐길 수 있는 다채로운 체험 프로그램을 선보인다.

대표 인기 프로그램인 은어 반두잡이와 맨손잡이 체험은 물론, 은어로드 챌린지, 힐링 스테이션 등 신규 콘텐츠도 추가돼 관광객들의 이목을 끌 예정이다.

또한, 딜리버리존 운영, 스타마켓투어 등 축제와 지역 상권을 연계한 프로그램도 마련되어 지역경제 활성화에 보탬이 될 것으로 기대된다.

기록적인 폭염이 예상되는 가운데, 군은 안전하고 쾌적한 축제 환경 조성을 위해 대형 천막, 쿨링존, 그늘막 등 폭염 대비 시설을 확대 설치한다.

더불어 세대 구분 없이 누구나 즐길 수 있는 먹거리·볼거리·즐길거리를 고르게 구성해, 전 세대가 함께 즐길 수 있는 ‘오감만족형 축제’로의 도약을 준비하고 있다.

박현국 봉화군수는 “봉화은어축제는 군을 대표하는 여름 관광 브랜드로 자리 잡은 만큼, 관광객들이 다시 찾고 싶고, 군민이 자부심을 느낄 수 있는 축제로 운영하겠다”며 “무엇보다 안전하고 품격 있는 행사를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
