이번 사업은 새로운 가치와 의식을 갖춘 가업승계 농업인을 육성하기 위한 것으로, 신청 대상은 봉화군에서 3년 이상 영농에 종사한 만 18세 이상 농업인이다. 상한 연령 제한은 없으며, 병역필 또는 병역면제자로서 본인 또는 배우자의 직계존속으로부터 농지나 농업시설을 승계했거나 승계 예정인 농업인이면 신청할 수 있다.
지원 규모는 대상자 1곳당 총사업비 5천만 원으로, 이 가운데 70%는 보조금, 30%는 자부담이다. 군은 1차 서류평가를 실시한 뒤, 경상북도의 2차 현장평가를 거쳐 오는 2월 중 최종 3개소를 선정할 계획이다.
지원 내용은 부모 세대가 구축한 영농기반시설의 현대화와 ICT 등 첨단 시설·장비 개선, 체험·가공·마케팅을 포함한 6차산업화 기반 조성, 노후 농업시설 개보수 및 작업환경 개선 등 가업승계 농업인의 안정적인 경영 기반 마련에 활용할 수 있다.
사업 신청을 희망하는 농업인은 이달 30일까지 봉화군농업기술센터 농업기술과에 사업신청서와 사업계획서 등 관련 증빙서류를 제출하면 된다.
장영숙 봉화군 농업기술과장은 “최근 수박과 사과 등 원예작목의 소득 향상으로 청년농업인과 가업승계 농업인의 유입이 늘면서 지역농업에 활력이 더해지고 있다”며 “가업승계 농업인들이 봉화에 성공적으로 정착할 수 있도록 행정적·재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
