계약원가심사 제도는 군청 각 부서 및 직속기관, 사업소 등에서 발주하는 공사, 용역, 물품구매 등의 사업비 분석과 설계의 타당성, 공사방법의 적절성 등을 종합적으로 검토해 예산 낭비를 방지하는 제도다.
봉화군은 올 상반기 총 161건, 약 849억 원 규모의 사업을 대상으로 원가심사를 진행했으며, 이 가운데 1.6%에 해당하는 14억 원의 예산을 절감하는 성과를 거뒀다. 주요 절감 요인은 ▲현장 여건에 적합한 경제적인 공법 채택 여부 ▲원가 산정의 적정성 등에 대한 철저한 검토 결과로 분석됐다.
임기수 봉화군 기획예산실장은 “앞으로도 사전예방 중심의 내실 있는 감사활동을 통해 불필요한 예산 낭비를 차단하고, 절감된 재원을 지역경제 활성화와 군민 복지 증진을 위한 투자 재원으로 활용해 지방재정의 효율성과 건전성을 높이겠다”고 밝혔다.
