‘K보듬 6000’은 전통적인 마을 공동육아 문화를 현대적으로 재해석한 경상북도 특화 돌봄 정책으로, 온종일 돌봄서비스, 안심귀가서비스, 외국인 보듬교사 배치, 친환경 간식 제공 등 새로운 형태의 돌봄 인프라 구축을 골자로 하고 있다.

영천시는 우선 5월 중 금호·미소지움·아름·참빛어린이집 등 4개소에서 시범 운영을 시작하고, 6월에는 임고보듬이나눔이 어린이집과 시립문외센트럴어린이집 2곳을 추가로 운영에 포함시킨다. 하반기에는 다함께돌봄센터 5호점까지 확대해 점차 돌봄서비스의 범위를 넓혀갈 계획이다.

시는 이번 사업을 통해 맞벌이 가정의 육아 부담을 줄이고, 아동의 안전한 돌봄 환경을 조성함으로써 아이들의 건강한 성장을 지원할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 이와 함께 양육 관련 경제적 부담 경감과 지역 내 돌봄 인력 일자리 창출 등 다양한 부가 효과도 예상된다.

최기문 영천시장은 “아이 키우기 좋은 도시를 만드는 것은 단순한 복지를 넘어 우리 사회의 지속 가능한 미래를 위한 중대한 투자”라며 “영천시는 ‘K보듬 6000’ 사업을 통해 부모들이 마음 놓고 자녀를 맡길 수 있도록 든든한 돌봄 환경을 조성하겠다”고 밝혔다.
