이번 캠페인은 미신고 굴착공사로 인한 도시가스 배관 손상 및 폭발·누출 사고를 예방하기 위한 것으로, 6개월간 대구 전역에서 대대적인 홍보 활동이 이어진다. 특히 차량 통행량과 유동인구가 많은 지역을 중심으로, 대형 전광판 10개소와 지하철 역사 내 게시판 64개소를 활용해 시민들에게 굴착공사 사전 신고의 중요성을 알릴 예정이다.

계산오거리 전광판에는 “굴착공사 전 신고 필수! 안전한 도시가스를 위한 첫걸음”이라는 슬로건이 송출되며, 도시가스 사고의 위험성을 시각적으로 표현해 시민 경각심 고취에 나섰다.

이번 캠페인은 대성에너지와 한국가스안전공사가 직접 콘텐츠를 기획·제작하고, 대구시가 공공 홍보 매체를 무상 제공하는 방식으로 민관이 협력한 안전관리 모범사례로 평가받고 있다.

대성에너지 김종윤 가스솔루션본부장은 “여전히 일부 시공업체에서 사전 신고를 하지 않아 도시가스 사고 위험이 상존한다”며, “이번 캠페인을 계기로 굴착공사 사전 신고 문화가 정착되길 바라며, 시민들의 자발적 참여를 유도할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

대구시 관계자 역시 “굴착공사 신고는 시민 생명과 재산을 보호하는 기본 절차”라며 “앞으로도 민간기업과 협력해 안전한 도시 환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 강조했다.

Daesung Energy to launch intensive promotion of ‘Pre-reporting System for Excavation Work’ to prevent city gas accidents

On the 21st, Daesung Energy (CEO Park Moon-hee) launched an intensive promotion campaign for the ‘Pre-reporting System for Excavation Work’ to prevent city gas accidents in cooperation with Daegu City and Korea Gas Safety Corporation.

The electronic billboard at Gyesan Intersection will display the slogan “Pre-reporting excavation work is mandatory! The first step toward safe city gas” and will raise citizens’ awareness by visually expressing the risks of city gas accidents.

This campaign is evaluated as a model case of safety management in which Daesung Energy and Korea Gas Safety Corporation directly planned and produced the content, and Daegu City provided the public promotional media free of charge.

Daesung Energy Gas Solution Headquarters Director Kim Jong-yoon said, “There is still a risk of city gas accidents because some construction companies do not report in advance,” and added, “We hope that this campaign will establish a culture of reporting in advance for excavation work, and we will encourage voluntary participation from citizens.”

Daegu City officials also emphasized, “Reporting excavation work is a basic procedure for protecting citizens’ lives and property,” and “We will continue to work with private companies to create a safe urban environment.”
