가스타이머콕은 가스렌지 취급부주의에 의한 화재를 방지하기 위해 일정 시간이 지나면 자동으로 가스가 차단되어 화재 사고를 예방할 수 있는 안전장치이다.
대성에너지와 한국가스안전공사는 달서구 월성종합사회복지관과 협의해 관내 독거노인, 차상위계층 등 안전취약세대 100가구를 선정해 가스타이머콕을 무료로 보급하고, 설치 및 사용법 등을 안내할 예정이다.
대성에너지 김형태 CS본부장은 “독거노인 등 가스를 안전하게 사용할 수 있도록 앞으로도 가스안전기기 보급 확대를 위해 노력하겠다."며" 지역 안전취약계층의 에너지복지 실현을 위한 다양한 사회공헌사업도 계속 실천해 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.
