【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원 산하 대구행복진흥원 일시청소년쉼터 ‘이동형’이 올해 진행한 ‘찾아가는 학교상담’ 사업을 성공적으로 마무리했다. 

올해 사업은 9개 중·고등학교에서 1,673명의 청소년이 참여해 지난해보다 두 배 이상 확대되는 성과를 거뒀다.

‘찾아가는 학교상담’은 45인승 버스를 개조한 이동형 쉼터가 학교를 직접 찾아가 상담과 체험활동을 제공하는 프로그램이다.

지난해에는 5개 학교에서 758명의 학생을 만났지만, 올해에는 참여 학교와 학생 수가 크게 늘었다. 대구행복진흥원 측은 사업의 필요성과 확장성을 입증한 결과라고 설명했다.

올해는 청소년들이 부담 없이 상담에 참여할 수 있도록 프로그램 구성을 한층 다채롭게 했다. 드라이플라워 디퓨저 만들기, 역사 인물 맞추기, 가출·생명존중·도박중독 예방 캠페인 등 체험형 콘텐츠가 중심이 되어 자연스러운 참여를 이끌어냈다. 

실제 이러한 활동들은 청소년의 스트레스 완화와 정서 안정, 자존감 향상에 도움이 된 것은 물론, 위험 상황을 사전에 인지하고 예방하는 역량까지 키워준 것으로 평가된다.

이동형 쉼터처럼 학교 현장에서 청소년을 직접 만나는 방식은 접근성과 신뢰도 면에서 큰 효과를 보이고 있다. 특히 지원이 손길이 미치지 못했던 청소년 발굴에도 긍정적인 영향을 줬다. 이동형 쉼터는 올해 더 많은 학교를 방문하면서 지역 기반 청소년 보호체계 강화에 실질적으로 기여했다는 평가를 받고 있다.

대구행복진흥원은 앞으로도 현장 중심, 청소년 눈높이에 맞는 서비스를 꾸준히 확대해 지역 청소년 안전망을 더욱 튼튼하게 만들 계획이다.

These activities have been evaluated as not only helping youth reduce stress, improve emotional stability, and enhance self-esteem, but also fostering their ability to recognize and prevent dangerous situations in advance.

Mobile shelters, which provide direct access to youth at schools, have proven to be highly effective in terms of accessibility and trustworthiness. They have also had a positive impact on identifying youth who previously had limited access to support. The mobile shelters have been recognized as having made a substantial contribution to strengthening the local youth protection system by visiting more schools this year.

The Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency plans to continue expanding its field-oriented, youth-focused services to further strengthen the local youth safety net.
