【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구행복진흥원이 KB금융공익재단과 함께 운영하는 '학교 밖 청소년 경제·금융 역량 강화 프로그램'이 4년째 순항 중이다.

지난 10일에는 올해 활동을 정리하는 단편영화 시사회가 대구 메가박스 만경관에서 열리며 눈길을 끌었다.

이 사업은 2022년 첫선을 보인 이후 지역을 대표하는 민관 협력 모델로 자리매김했다. 경제·금융 교육과 진로 탐색 기회를 결합해 학교를 떠난 청소년들이 스스로 설 수 있도록 돕는 것이 목적이다. 

대구행복진흥원이 사업을 운영하고, KB금융공익재단이 후원한다. 여기에 지역 내 다양한 문화·복지기관이 힘을 보태면서 한층 촘촘한 지원망이 구축됐다.

올해는 기본 경제·금융 예방 교육부터 영화 제작, 고령층을 대상으로 한 금융지킴 캠프, 시사회까지 단계적으로 진행됐다. 특히 시사회에서는 청소년들이 직접 시나리오를 쓰고, 촬영과 연출, 편집까지 맡은 단편영화들이 상영돼 관심을 모았다. 영화에는 소비와 자산 관리, 금융위기 예방 등 실생활과 밀접한 주제가 자연스럽게 녹아 관객들의 공감을 불러일으켰다.

프로그램에 참여한 청소년들은 “처음엔 경제·금융이 어렵게 느껴졌지만, 활동을 하면서 쉽게 이해하게 됐다”며 뿌듯함을 드러냈다.

배기철 대구행복진흥원 이사장은 “이 프로그램이 4년 동안 이어지며 지역이 함께 만든 청소년 지원의 모범 사례가 되고 있다”며 “앞으로도 청소년 자립과 사회참여 확대를 위해 협력 체계를 계속 강화하겠다”고 말했다.

The "Out-of-School Youth Economic and Financial Capacity Building Program," run by the Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency in collaboration with the KB Public Welfare Foundation, is in its fourth year of operation.

On the 10th, a short film screening was held at the Daegu Megabox Mangyeong Hall, marking the conclusion of this year's activities, drawing significant attention.

Since its launch in 2022, this program has established itself as a leading public-private partnership model in the region. Its goal is to help out-of-school youth become self-reliant by combining economic and financial education with career exploration opportunities.

The Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency operates the program, with the KB Public Welfare Foundation sponsoring it. Various local cultural and welfare organizations have also contributed, creating a more robust support network.

This year, the program progressed in stages, from basic economic and financial prevention education to film production, a financial protection camp for seniors, and a screening. The screening attracted significant attention, featuring short films written, shot, directed, and edited by young people themselves. The film naturally incorporated real-life themes such as consumption, asset management, and financial crisis prevention, resonating with audiences.

Youth who participated in the program expressed their satisfaction, saying, "At first, economics and finance seemed difficult, but through the program, they became easier to understand."

Bae Ki-cheol, Chairman of the Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency, said, "This program has continued for four years and has become a model for youth support created by the local community. We will continue to strengthen our cooperative system to promote youth independence and social participation."
