【브레이크뉴스 경북 구미】이성현 기자=구미소방서(서장 한상일)는 지난 10월 31일 오후 12시경 구미대교에서 자살시도 중인 한 남성을 드론 수색으로 신속하게 구조했다고 3일 밝혔다.

이날 구미대교에서 한 남성이 자살시도 중이라는 신고를 접수받은 후, 소방드론 및 장비 4대, 인원 10여명을 투입하였으며, 소방드론을 활용하여 10여분만에 요구조자(자살시도자) 위치를 찾아 신속하게 구조했다.

구미소방서는 구조 및 수색장비로 소방드론을 2020년 5월부터 운용 중에 있고, 소방드론은 같은 해 9월에는 80대 실종자를 찾는 등 큰 역할을 하고 있다.

한상일 구미소방서장은 “앞으로 화재․구조․구급 등 각종현장에 소방드론을 적극적으로 활용해 신속한 대응으로 시민의 생명과 재산보호에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
