DGB대구은행(은행장 임성훈)은 13일 대구재활센터(시설장 이광식)이 진행하는 희망의 꽃배달 서비스 사업을 지원하기 위해 후원금을 전달했다고 밝혔다.
DGB대구은행‘희망의 꽃배달 서비스 사업’은 4월 ~ 9월까지 대구재활센터를 이용하는 장애인이 꽃을 다듬고, 꽃병을 제작하는 사업으로, 만들어진 작품들을 지역 양로원 시설에 배달하는 것으로 이루어진다.
매년 지역 사회환원을 위해 노력해오고 있는 DGB대구은행은 금번 지원을 통해 하루 75명의 장애인이 이용 중인 시설에 일자리를 창출하고, 화사한 꽃 전달로 지역 양로원 어르신들의 심신안정 및 코로나19의 지속으로 인한 정서적 우울감 해소에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다.
DGB대구은행 관계자는 “코로나19의 장기화로 일자리 감소, 봉사활동 및 지원 중단 등 지역사회 곳곳에 많은 어려움이 있는 걸로 알고 있다. DGB대구은행은 지속적인 관심으로 사랑나눔을 실천하고 사회적 책임을 다해 ESG경영을 적극 실천하겠다.”는 뜻을 밝혔다.
