【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=  대구시는 1일 대구은행, 경북대학교기술지주, 아이디어브릿지파트너스(펀드 운용사), 대구디지털혁신진흥원과 ‘ABB 성장펀드 조성·운용’을 위한 업무 협약식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약식은 효율적인 ABB 성장펀드 조성 및 운용과 ABB 산업 육성을 위한 지역 투자생태계 기반을 형성하고자 마련됐다.

‘ABB 성장펀드’ 는 대구시 민선8기의 주요 화두인 ABB(인공지능(AI), 빅데이터(Big Data), 블록체인(Block Chain)) 산업 육성을 위한 지역 최초 ABB 전용 펀드이다.

관련 핵심기술을 보유한 기업의 자금조달 및 지역 정착에 보탬이 되고자 조성한다. 

ABB 펀드는 한국벤처투자(중소벤처기업부 산하 공공기관)가 추진하는 한국모태펀드 특허계정 출자조합에 선정돼 결성된 것으로 한국모태펀드 140억원, 대구시 40억원, 기타(대구은행, 경북대기술지주, 운용사 등) 54억원이 출자된 총 234억원 규모이다.

지난 9월 말 최종 조성을 완료했으며, 대구시는 올해부터 매년 10억씩 4년 분납으로 출자할 계획이다.

앞으로 대구시가 출자한 40억원의 2배수인 80억원을 이달부터 오는 25년까지 대구 소재 ABB 중소·벤처기업 10여 개사에 투자할 예정이다

투자받은 기업은 경영, 재무, 인사관리, 후속 투자 등 기업 성장을 위한 지속적인 멘토링과 코칭의 사후관리를 지원받을 수 있다.

대구시는 이번 ABB 전용 펀드를 시작으로 오는 2026년까지 총 1천억 규모의 펀드를 조성할 계획이다.

이에 따라 내년 230억원 규모 이상의 신규 펀드를 조성하기 위해 출자예산 80억원을 확보하고 내년부터 매년 20억씩 4년 분납으로 출자할 예정이다.

이종화 대구시 경제부시장은 “ABB 펀드의 지속적인 확대 조성을 통한 지역 투자생태계 활성화로 투자받은 지역의 유망한 기업들이 고성장해 세계적 기업으로 도약하기를 바란다”며, “지역 ABB 산업 성장을 위한 마중물 역할을 톡톡히 해 지역경제 성장을 이끌 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Accordingly, to create a new fund worth 23 billion won or more next year, an investment budget of 8 billion won will be secured, and 2 billion won will be invested every year from next year in 4 year installments.
