【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구시는 이수창업투자, 에코프로파트너스, 대구디지털혁신진흥원과 함께 대구 ABB산업 육성을 위한 ‘ABB 벤처펀드 조성·운용’ 업무 협약식을 개최했다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 협약식은 효율적인 ABB 벤처펀드 조성 및 운용과 ABB 산업 육성을 위한 지역 투자생태계 기반을 형성하고자 대구시, 펀드 운용사 및 관계기관 간 상호 업무 협력하고자 마련됐다.

‘ABB 벤처펀드’(120억 원 규모)는 2022년 하반기에 조성된 ‘ABB성장펀드’(234억 원 규모)에 이어 두 번째로 지역에 조성되는 ABB산업 전용 펀드이다.

이번 펀드는 대구시가 창투사(VC) 연계형 펀드로 기획한 것으로 지난 3월 공모로 운용사를 선정했는데, 총 4개사가 응모하여 최종 ‘이수창업투자’ 와 ‘에코프로파트너스’ 공동 운용사로 선정됐다.

수도권에 본점을 두고 있는 이들 운용사는 대구에 각각 지점을 개소하여 지역기업을 적극 발굴·지원하고, 역외 유망 ABB기업도 적극 유치할 예정이다.

또 이번 펀드 출자자인 이수 그룹과 에코프로 그룹 차원에서도 지역 산·학·연 협력 인력양성 사업, 지역 ABB기업과의 오픈이노베이션 사업 등 다양한 협업을 계획하고 있어 향후 지역 ABB산업 생태계 활성화에도 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

펀드 출자금은 대구시 40억 원, 는 ㈜이수페타시스 29억 원, ㈜에코프로이노베이션 29억 원, 운용사 등 22억 원이 각각 출자된다.

대구시는 2023년부터 매년 10억 원씩 4년 분납으로 출자할 계획이며 출자한 40억 원의 200%인 80억 원이 대구 소재 ABB 중소·벤처기업 10여 개사에 투자될 예정이다. 

이종화 대구시 경제부시장은 “ABB 전용펀드의 지속적인 확대 조성을 통해 지역 ABB산업 성장을 위한 마중물 역할을 톡톡히 함으로써, 지역경제 성장을 이끌 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

The fund investment is 4 billion won by Daegu City, 2.9 billion won by Isu Petasys, 2.9 billion won by Ecopro Innovation, and 2.2 billion won by management companies.

Daegu City plans to invest 1 billion won annually in 4-year installments from 2023, and 8 billion won, 200% of the 4 billion won invested, will be invested in about 10 ABB small and medium-sized venture companies in Daegu.
