【브레이크뉴스 경북】박은정 기자=경산시(시장 조현일)는 호산대, 대경대와 ‘고등직업교육거점지구(HiVE) 사업’ 추진을 위한 업무 협약을 체결했다고 16일 밝혔다.

고등직업교육거점지구(HiVE) 사업은 전문대-기초자치단체가 협력해 지역특화분야 발굴 및 청년 인재의 지역 정주를 위한 맞춤형 교육과정을 운영하고 평생교육을 기반으로 지역 일자리 창출과 지역의 발전 역량을 강화해 지역사회 혁신을 도모하는 교육부 주관 공모 사업이다.

이번 협약으로 3개 기관은 고등직업교육거점지구(HiVE) 사업 정착을 위한 관·학 거버넌스 구축·운영, 지역특화 분야 인력 양성 및 교육과정 개발·운영, 평생 직업교육 활성화를 위한 지역 현안 연계 프로그램 개발·운영, 지역사회 공헌 인재 양성을 위한 공동 프로그램 개발·운영 등으로 대학 일부 시설을 기초자치단체의 평생학습관으로 공유·활용하는데 협력한다.

경산시-호산대-대경대는 오는 20일 공모계획서를 제출할 예정으로 공모에 선정되면 대학은 2023년부터 2025년까지 2년 동안 국비 18억원을 지원받게 된다. 공모 결과는 오는 4월 발표될 예정이다.

조현일 경산시장은 “이번 협약이 경산시와 지역 전문대가 연계· 협력하여 지역 일자리 창출과 대학과 함께하는 지역 상생 모델 구축의 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다”며“대학과 협력해 청년 인재 양성은 물론 경산에 계속 머물 수밖에 없는 정주 여건 개선을 위해 물심양면으로 돕겠다”고 밝혔다.
