【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대경대(총장 이채영)가 외국인 유학생을 위한 특별한 입학식을 마련했다고 4일 밝혔다.

지난 2일 대경대는 베트남, 몽골, 라오스, 우즈베키스탄, 러시아, 네팔 등에서 온 총 249명의 유학생들을 위해 2학기 학위과정 입학식을 개최했다.

이날 유학생들이 전통의상을 입고 국적별 애국가를 부르며 입장하는 특별한 순서가 마련돼 눈길을 끌었다.

입학식 축하 무대는 베트남 유학생의 공연을 시작으로 대경대 실용댄스과의 스트릿댄스 공연과 국제태권도과의 태권무 퍼포먼스가 이어졌다. 

대경대는 외국인 유학생들을 위해 일반 전공자들과 1:1 멘토링 매칭제도를 운영하고 있다. 또한 외국인 유학생을 위해 기숙사를 무료로 제공한다.

웬티투아(호텔경영전공) 유학생은 “대경대는 캠퍼스에서 1개 전공 1개 기업 시스템으로 실제 취업을 한 것처럼 전공을 배울 수 있어서 졸업 후 베트남에서 대경대 출신 취업효과가 높은 편”이라고 말했다. 

대경대 김건표 교수(기획홍보처장)은 “내년부터는 유학생 가족들도 실제 입학식에 참여하고 있는 것처럼 느낄 수 있도록 대경대학 캠퍼스 투어와 유학생들 전공수업을 스트리밍으로 유학생 가족들에게 생중계할 예정이다”고 밝혔다.

Daegyeong University (President Lee Chae-young) announced on the 4th that it has prepared a special entrance ceremony for international students.

On the 2nd, Daegyeong University held a second semester entrance ceremony for a total of 249 international students from Vietnam, Mongolia, Laos, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Nepal.

The entrance ceremony celebration stage began with a performance by a Vietnamese international student, followed by a street dance performance by Daegyeong University’s Practical Dance Department and a taekwondo performance by the International Taekwondo Department.

Daegyeong University operates a 1:1 mentoring matching system with general majors for international students. It also provides free dormitories for international students.

Wentitua (Hotel Management major) said, “Daegyeong University has a 1 major 1 company system on campus, so students can learn their major as if they were actually employed, and the employment rate for Daegyeong University graduates in Vietnam after graduation is high.”

Professor Kim Geon-pyo (Director of Planning and Public Relations) of Daegyeong University said, “Starting next year, we plan to live stream Daegyeong University campus tours and major classes for international students to the families of international students so that they can feel as if they are participating in the actual entrance ceremony.”
