【브레이크뉴스 영천】이성현 기자=육군3사관학교는 21일, 교내 충성연병장에서 학교장(방성대 소장)주관으로 60기 사관생도 입학식을 거행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 입학한 신입 생도 444명(여생도 52명 포함)은 지난 1월 12일 가입교한 이후 5주간의 충성기초훈련을 통해 가치관 정립, 인성함양, 기초전투기술 함양 등 사관생도로 거듭나기 위한 필수과정을 마쳤다.

이날 행사는 성화 점화를 시작으로 ▲국민의례 ▲입학 및 진학신고 ▲우수자 상장 수여 ▲입학증서 및 학년장 수여 ▲분열 순으로 진행됐다.

60기 생도 중에는 화제의 인물도 많았다. 형제인 장혁(남, 24세)·장원(남, 21세) 사관생도는 동기가 되어 동반 입교하였고, 이경민 생도(남, 21세)는 자신의 누나이자 이달 말 같은 장소에서 소위로 임관하는 이유현 생도(58기)의 뒤를 이어정예장교로 가는 길을 함께 걷게 되었다.

이 외에도 가족 중에 현역·예비역 장교가 있는 군인가족 생도가 42명, 현역 복무 중에 입교하거나 복무를 마친 생도가 69명에 달했다.

미국 미네소타 주립대학교를 수료 후 귀국하여 입교한 한승연 생도(남, 25세)를 비롯하여 해외 유학 중 장교의 길을걷고자 입교한 3명의 생도도 눈길을 끌었다.

특전 부사관으로 복무 중 장교의 뜻을 품고 입교한 온윤호(남, 23세) 생도는 “특전사에서 복무하면서 해외 파병, 육군 최정예 300워리어 선발 등다양한 성과를 이루었다. 이제는 팔로워보다 리더로 성장하고 싶어 육군3사관학교에 지원하게 되었다.”고 입교 소감을 밝혔다.

이날 방성대 학교장(소장)은 “각자의 다양한 재능과 역량을 마음껏 발휘하길 바라며, 국가에 충성을, 국민에 헌신을, 가슴에 큰 꿈을 품는 정예장교로성장하길 바란다.”고 당부했다.

생도들은 앞으로 2년 동안 전공과목과 군사학을 이수하고 졸업할 때 일반학과 군사학위를 동시에 취득하게 되며, 엄격한 자기관리를 통해 올바른 인성과 가치관을 확립한 정예 장교로 성장하게 된다.
