코로나19 지침 완화에 따라 4년 만에 외부인사를 초청한 이날 행사에는가족, 친지, 총동문회 등 4,700여 명이 참석했다.

이날 현장에 참석하지 못한가족과 친지들은 국방홍보원이 SNS 채널로 생중계한 라이브영상을 시청하며 멀리서나마 축하의 마음을 전했다.

졸업과 동시에 소위로 임관한 제58기 477명(여생도 48명)은 지난 2021년 입학하여 2년동안 강도높은 군사훈련과 학위교육을 병행해 왔으며, 군사학사 및 일반학사 학위를 동시에 취득하게 됐다.

이날 영예의 대통령상을 수상한 김세화(남, 25세)소위는“매 순간 최선을 다하자는 마음가짐으로 생도생활에 임하였다. 생도과정을 통해 쌓아온 것을 바탕으로 임관 후에는 국가에 헌신하고 주변에 도움이 되는 장교가 되기 위해 노력하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
