【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대경대학교(총장 이채영)가 28일 국제태권도과 재학생들의 제50회 전국 대학 태권도 개인 선수권대회 종합 우승 소식을 전했다.
지난 24일 한국대학태권도연맹과 통영시가 주최하고, 한국대학태권도연맹과 통영시태권도협회가 주관한 제50회 전국 대학 태권도 개인 선수권대회가 개최되었다.
대회에는 약 2,600여명의 선수가 참가한 가운데 겨루기, 품새, 태권경연, 태권체조 등의 경기가 진행되었으며 대경대 국제태권도과는 태권체조 부문 3위, 개인종합격파(남자부문) 손성민(22학번), 김민성(21학번) 3위, 태권경연부문 1위로 종합우승을 차지했다.

대경대학교 이채영총장은 “국제태권도과 학생들이 전국 대회에서 그동안 쏟아온 땀과 열정의 결과를 얻은 학생들이 자랑스럽고 지도자들에게 감사인사를 전한다.” 며 “올해 4년만에 개최되는 2023년 세계 태권도 한마당 대회 출전을 앞두고 동기부여가 됐길 바라고, 좋은 성과를 이룰 수 있도록 아낌없는 응원과 지원을 하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
