지난 20일 KBS대구방송총국에서 대경대학교 이채영 총장과 KBS대구방송총국 김장환 총국장 등 관계자 10여명이 참석한 가운데 협약식이 개최되었다.

이날 양 기관은 공동발전을 모색하기 위해 협약을 맺고 공동 프로젝트 활동 및 기술 등의 정보교환, 전문인력 양성을 위한 지원, 현장실습(인턴십) 기관 참여 및 학생지도, 필요 인력 채용시 우수 학생(졸업생 포함) 지원 및 선발 과정 참여 협력, 양 기관의 인적자원 및 보유시설 공동이용에 관한 사항에 대한 협력 등을 약속했다.

대경대 이채영 총장은 “우리 대학이 개교 30주년을 맞이해 KBS대구방송총국과 MOU를 체결하게 된 것을 뜻 깊게 생각한다.”고 밝히며 “급변하는 미디어 환경에 발맞춰 서로 힘을 모아 전문인력 양성과 교류 협력 및 상호 발전하도록 노력하겠다." 고 말했다.
