【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구행복진흥원(원장 정순천)은 대구시장애인체육회, 한국장애인고용공단 대구지역본부와 장애인 체육선수의 발굴 육성과 사회적 가치 실현을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 29일 밝혔다.

이번 협약을 통해 대구행복진흥원은 장애인 체육선수들이 체육활동에 매진할 수 있도록 지원하고, 대구시장애인체육회는 장애인 체육선수 발굴지원 및 선발, 선수들의 각종 대회 참가를 지원해 안정된 훈련 환경을 조성할 계획이다. 

또 한국장애인고용공단 대구지역본부는 대구행복진흥원에 대한 장애인 체육선수의 맞춤형 취업 서비스를 제공하는 등 ESG경영을 실천할 수 있도록 지원하기로 약속했다. 

홍영숙 대구시장애인체육회 사무처장은 “장애인 체육선수의 고용증진을 위해 앞장서겠다는 대구행복진흥원과 한국장애인고용공단에 감사하다”며 “대구시장애인체육회에서도 장애인 체육선수들이 보다 좋은 환경에서 훈련할 수 있도록 적극 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

정순천 대구행복진흥원 원장은 “장애인들의 사회진출을 돕고 선수들이 우수한 기량과 실력을 발휘할 수 있도록 지원하겠다”며 “앞으로도 장애인과 비장애인이 차별 없이 더불어 살 수 있는 사회를 만드는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
