달성군 농업기술센터 오명숙 소장은“식물을 활용한 신체활동을 통해 장애인들의 소외감·우울감 등이 저절로 해소될 것이다.”며“특히 사회적 약자인 장애인들의 심리적 안정에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.”고 밝혔다.
한편, 달성군농업기술센터는 지난 8월부터 치매어르신을 위한 치유농업프로그램, 농촌여성 치유농업교육 등 다양한 치유농업교육을 추진하고 있다.
