【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 대구 서구는 교육부 국립특수교육원이 주관한 ‘2023년 장애인 평생학습도시 운영사업’ 공모에 선정돼 국비 1억 5천만원을 확보했다고 15일 밝혔다.

장애인 평생학습도시 운영사업은 교육부가 지역기반 장애인의 역량개발 지원 및 지역 중심 장애인 평생교육 기반 조성을 위해 추진하고 있는 사업으로 전국 31개 지자체가 선정됐다.

서구청은 디지털대전환시대에 맞는 학습부흥정책(SEOGU형 학습뉴딜)으로 Smart(미래)형 학습뉴딜, Enjoy(사람중심)형 학습뉴딜, Opportunity(기회)형 학습뉴딜, Green(친환경)형 학습뉴딜, Unity(연대)형 학습뉴딜 사업들을 통해 지역의 장애인을 위한 장벽없는 학습 인프라를 구축하고, 장애인 중심 평생학습과 모든 자원의 연대·공유·포용을 통해 지속가능한 평생학습도시로 도약할 예정이다.

또 뉴노멀 시대에 맞춰 가상공간인 메타버스 학습 플랫폼을 구축, 서구만의 평생학습 가상공간을 구성하여 다양한 온라인 강의제공과 학습정보, 평생학습 실감체험, 실시간 장애인 및 비장애인과의 소통으로 지역의 장애인 인식개선에 기여할 계획이다. 

특히 지역의 특수학교 및 관련 장애인 기관 및 시설과 연대하여 장애인 관련 역량강화교육 및 가족친화 평생학습 제공과 장애인 평생학습 문화 확산을 위한 다양한 사업을 발굴·추진할 계획이다.

류한국 서구청장은“장애인 평생학습도시 선정을 계기로 서구의 슬로건처럼 장애인과 비장애인이 서로 배려하며 함께 배워 미래로 도약하는 장벽없는 평생학습도시가 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
