이번 국공립어린이집 환경개선 사업은 평균 20년 이상의 노후 건축물로 영유아들의 안전에 위험이 있어 보육현장의 의견을 반영하여 지난 해 11월부터 올 2월까지 3개월에 걸쳐 사업을 진행했다.
총사업비 9억 원을 투입하여 고효율(에너지효율 1등급) 창호설치, 화장실 개보수, 고효율 냉난방기 설치, 바닥난방 시설 교체, 놀이터 개보수 등을 진행했다.
특히, 평년보다 추웠던 지난겨울에 창호 교체 이후 에너지효율이 높아 확연히 따뜻해졌으며 최근 이상기후로 올 여름에도 큰 더위가 예상되는데 급등하는 에너지 요금에 실질적인 전기요금 절감에도 큰 도움이 될 것으로 보여진다.
