26일 오전 11시 한동훈 위원장은 윤재옥 원내대표와 함께 대구 달성군 유가읍에 위치한 박근혜 전 대통령 사저를 방문했다.

한 위원장은 “국정 전반과 현안들 그리고 살아오신 이야기들이라든가 여러 가지 얘기에 대해 제가 굉장히 좋은 말씀을 들었다. 따뜻한 말씀 많이 해주셨고 대단히 감사하다는 말씀을 드렸다”고 말했다. 

그러면서 “지난 대구 방문 때 뵙기로 했었는데 일정이 맞지 않아서 그때 약속한 날을 잡아 오늘 뵙게 된 것”이라고 설명했다.

이번 방문은 한 위원장이 지난 21일 대구를 찾아 후보들 지원 유세를 펼친데 이어 5일 만이다. 이는 수도권에서 고전을 면치 못하고 있는 국민의힘이 TK에서도 지지율 하락세를 보이자 보수층 결집을 통해 위기를 타개하려는 방편으로 보인다.
