대선시계가 빨라지고 있는 가운데 더불어민주당 경북도당(위원장 장세호)이 ‘제20대 대통령선거 준비기획단’을 구성하고 활동에 나선다고 밝혔다.

28일 민주당 경북도당은 경북도당 회의실에서 제20대 대선 준비기획단을 출범하고 이와 함께 1차 회의를 개최했다.

기획단은 경북도당 선거대책위원회가 구성되기 전까지 활동하게 되며 정책, 조직, 여론수렴 등 그간 성과들을 본 선대위에 전달함으로써 대선과 지방선거 승리에 기여한다는 방침이다.

특히 다가올 제20대 대선 승리를 위해 그동안 경선과정에서 불거졌던 갈등을 해소하고 당내 화합을 도모하고 아울러 ‘원팀’ 구성을 위한 방안 마련과 민심청취, 지지세 확산을 위한 전략수립 등의 역할을 하게 될 예정이다.

이우원 단장(현 도당수석부위원장)은 “기획단은 경선과정에서 불가피하게 발생했던 생채기를 보듬고 치유하는 것이 가장 중요하게 해야할 일”이라면서 “내년 대통령선거에서 국민들에게 선택받기 위해서는 무엇보다 우리 모두가 하나가 되어 도민 여러분들의 뜻을 잘 받들어야 한다”고 강조했다.

장세호 경북도당위원장은 “여러 어려움에도 내년 대선 승리를 위해 하나가 되어주신 기획단에 감사드린다”고 전하며 “지금 대한민국은 새로운 패러다임으로 대전환의 시대에 능동적으로 대응하고 미래로 나아가느냐, 아니면 또다시 과거에 사로잡혀 퇴보하느냐의 중대한 기로에 놓인 상황이다. 이 가운데 경북을 이번 대선의 최대 전략지역으로 인식하고 최선을 다해주시기 바란다”고 당부했다.
