【브레이크뉴스 】이성현 기자=고령군(군수 이남철)은 지난 6일부터 치매를 진단받은 환자를 대상으로 치매안심센터 프로그램실에서 주5회 하루 3시간씩 ‘2023년 고령군 치매환자쉼터’를운영한다고 9일 밝혔다.

고령군에 따르면 치매환자쉼터는 치매안심센터에 등록된 치매환자를 대상으로 전문가들로이루어진 직원과 강사들이 다양한 신체활동과 인지자극 및 정서지원, 돌봄서비스를 제공하여 치매 중증화를 방지하고 치매환자 가족의 부양부담을경감시키는데 목적을 두고 있는 사업이다.

프로그램을 운영하는 동안 가족들은 치매가족카페를 이용하여 서로 공감대형성과 환자 간호에 필요한 정보 공유 및 정서 지지등을 통한 스트레스 해소 시간을 가지게 된다.

쉼터 참여 어르신(김**/80세)은 “코로나 때메 집에 있으니 답답하던데 나갈때도 없고, 근데 이래 공부도 하고 노래도 하니 기분도 좋고 사람들도 만나니 행복하다 고맙데이”라며 만족감을 표현했다.

고령군치매안심센터 관계자는 “앞으로 치매환자의 인지기능을 회복시키고 사회와 단절되지 않도록 전문적인 서비스를 제공하는데 최선을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다
