【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구의회 배태숙 의장(국민의힘, 비례대표)이 불구속 상태로 재판에 넘겨지면서 국민의힘 대구시당의 조치에 관심이 집중되고 있다.

지난 22일 대구지검 형사3부(부장검사 남계식)로부터 불구속 기소된 중구의회 배태숙 의장은 2022년 차명으로 세운 인쇄·판촉물 업체를 통해 중구청과 불법 수의계약 9건을 체결한 혐의를 받고 있다.

또한 대구 북구에 거주하면서 주민등록상에는 중구로 주소를 허위신고한 혐의도 받고 있다.

이에 대해 대구경제정의실천시민연합은 “지난 8월 국민의힘 대구광역시당 윤리위원회에 ‘국민의힘 윤리규칙’ 위반 사실을 신고했다”며 “약 2개월이 지났는데도 신고한 사안에 대한 처리 결과는 물론 사실관계 조사 실시 여부 마저 밝히지 않고 있다”고 지적했다.

그러면서 “무책임한 태도를 강력하게 비판하며 대구경실련이 신고한 윤리규칙 위반 사안을 신속하게 처리하고, 그 결과를 통지해달라”고 촉구했다.

더불어민주당 대구시당 역시 지난 23일 논평을 통해 “배태숙 의장의 불구속기소로 대구 중구의회는 범죄의회가 되어가고있다”며 “국민의힘은 윤리 강령에 따라 신속하게 처리해야하며 향후 방향 처리를 지켜보겠다”고 강조했다.

이에 대해 국민의힘 대구시당 관계자는 “윤리위원회에 사안을 보고했고 확정된 것은 아니지만 적정 날짜를 정해 논의할 예정이다”며 “양형에 대해서는 위원회에서 의결로 결정하기 때문에 지금으로서는 말씀 드릴 수 있는 것이 없다”고 설명했다.
