【브레이크뉴스 경주】이성현 기자=경북문화관광공사(사장 김남일) 경주솔거미술관은 오는 7일부터 12월 7일까지 '2025 경북불교미술 기획전'을 개최한다.

이번 전시는 ‘<佛, 가능한 현실>’을 부제로, 경북 출신 청년 작가 4인의 작품을 통해 지역 불교미술의 현재를 조망하고 그 대중화 가능성을 모색하는 자리다.

전시에 참여하는 작가는 강현정, 노윤지, 오선아, 최세윤 작가로, 각각의 작품은 전통 불교미술의 정신을 현대적 시선으로 재해석하며 관람객과 소통한다.

강현정 작가는 보이지 않는 세계의 본질과 에너지를 시각화해 풍요와 행복의 메시지를 담았다.

노윤지 작가는 정갈함 속 안정과 자유로움 속 안정을 모색하며 작품으로 내적 성찰을 표현했다.

오선아 작가는 전통 불교회화를 근간으로 현대적 일상을 담아내며 오늘의 언어로 재해석했다.

최세윤 작가는 전통 문양을 현대적 시선으로 재조립하고 감정을 부여해 ‘살아있는 존재’로 되살리는 작업을 진행했다.

4명의 작가는 이번 전시를 통해 불교미술이 종교적 틀을 넘어 하나의 예술 장르로 대중에게 친근하게 다가가길 바란다는 뜻을 전했다.

김남일 경북문화관광공사 사장은 “불교미술은 우리 전통예술의 중심으로, 이를 현대적으로 재해석하는 젊은 작가들의 노력이 주목받길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 대중이 쉽게 접하고 즐길 수 있는 전통 불교미술 전시를 지속적으로 선보일 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Gyeongju Solgeo Art Museum to Host "2025 Gyeongbuk Buddhist Art Exhibition <Buddha, Possible Reality>"

Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization (President Kim Nam-il) and Gyeongju Solgeo Art Museum will host the "2025 Gyeongbuk Buddhist Art Exhibition" from November 7 to December 7. Subtitled "<Buddha, Possible Reality>," the exhibition explores the current state of regional Buddhist art and explores its potential for popularization through the works of four young artists from Gyeongbuk.

The participating artists are Kang Hyun-jung, Noh Yoon-ji, Oh Seon-ah, and Choi Se-yoon. Each work reinterprets the spirit of traditional Buddhist art through a contemporary lens, connecting with the viewer.

Kang Hyun-jung visualizes the essence and energy of the invisible world, conveying a message of abundance and happiness.

Noh Yoon-ji expresses her inner reflection through her work, seeking stability in refinement and stability in freedom.

Artist Oh Seon-ah reinterpreted traditional Buddhist paintings, capturing contemporary everyday life and using contemporary language to create works of art.

Artist Choi Se-yoon reassembled traditional patterns through a contemporary lens, imbuing them with emotion and reviving them as living beings.

Through this exhibition, the four artists expressed their hope that Buddhist art would transcend religious boundaries and become a genre accessible to the public.

Kim Nam-il, President of the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization, stated, "Buddhist art is at the heart of our traditional art, and I hope the efforts of young artists reinterpreting it in a contemporary manner will garner attention. We will continue to present exhibitions of traditional Buddhist art that are accessible and enjoyable to the public."
