커버드본드는 주택담보대출 등 우량자산을 기초로 발행되는 채권으로, 금융시장 변동성 속에서도 안정적인 자금 조달 수단으로 주목받고 있다. 이번 협약은 iM뱅크의 커버드본드 발행에 대해 한국주택금융공사가 지급보증을 제공함으로써 장기적이고 안정적인 자금 조달 기반을 마련하고, 국내 커버드본드 시장 활성화를 도모하기 위해 추진됐다.

이날 협약식에는 양 기관 관계자들이 참석해 협약의 취지와 향후 협력 방향을 공유했으며, 이번 협약을 계기로 양측은 커버드본드 지급보증 업무 전반에 걸쳐 긴밀한 협력 체계를 구축해 나갈 예정이다.
