【브레이크뉴스 경북】오주호 기자=초록우산 어린이재단 경북아동옹호센터(소장 정인숙)는 8일 경상북도 아동 주거권 보장을 위해 경상북도 내 사회복지 종사자 대상 ‘주거복지제도 교육’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 초록우산 어린이재단 경북아동옹호센터, 어린이재단 경북지역본부, 경상북도사회복지관협회 공동 주관으로 코로나19 상황에 따라 ZOOM을 통한 비대면 온라인교육으로 진행됐다.

이날 강의는 LH대구경북지역본부에서 ‘공공임대주택제도와 주거복지서비스 전달체계의 이해’라는 주제로 사회복지 종사자를 대상으로 공공임대주택제도와 같은 주거복지제도와 주거복지서비스 전달체계에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 아동가구가 포함된 주거취약계층에 대한 실질적인 지원이 원활하게 이뤄질 수 있도록 하기 위해 마련됐다.

통계청에서 실시한 지난 2015년 인구주택총조사에 따르면 경상북도 아동의 9.6%(46,141명)가 주거빈곤을 경험하고 있으며, 10명 중 1명은 주거빈곤으로 열악한 환경 속에서 성장하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

주거는 아동의 건강과 안녕에 필수적이며 자아존중감, 주관적 행복감, 유대감,학업성취, 가족갈등, 건강 등 아동 발달에 전반적으로 큰 영향을 주고 있다.

또한 외부 환경으로부터 안정성을위협하는 경북지역의 주거빈곤 아동들이 좀 더 안전하고 쾌적한 주거환경에서 건강하게성장할 수있도록 이들에게 대한관심이 많이 필요한 상황이다.

이러한 상황 속에서 아동주거빈곤을 가장 가까이에서 보고 느끼는 사회복지 종사자들의 역량이 매우 중요해 초록우산 어린이재단 경북아동옹호센터에서는 아동가구가 포함된 주거취약계층에 대한 지원이 더욱 더 실질적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 ‘사회복지 종사자 주거복지제도 교육’을 진행하고 있다.

정인숙 소장은 “경상북도 내 사회복지 종사자들의 경상북도 주거복지제도에 대해 알려 주거빈곤아동들에게 실질적인 도움이 되고자 ‘사회복지 종사자 주거복지제도 교육’을 실시하게 되었다”며 “이번 교육을 통해 아동이 좀 더 나은 주거환경 속에서 안전하게 성장할 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.
