대구도시공사는 이번 협약을 통해 유휴공간을 활용하여 청년창업에 필요한 공간을 제공하고, 소상공인 경제활동 지원과 지역 현안 해결에 앞장설 방침이다.

‘청년 창업 및 공동체 커뮤니티 공간조성 사업’은 유휴공간을 리모델링하여 청년, 프리랜서협동조합, 예비 창업자 및 지역주민을 위한 공용 공간으로 활용토록 지원하는 사업이다.

이종덕 대구도시공사 사장은 “지역 청년의 문화예술 창작활동을 지원하고, 코로나19 장기화로 지친 주민들을 위한 힐링공간을 조성해 청년 일자리 창출, 주민 공동체 커뮤니티 활성화 등 지역의 사회적가치 창출을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
