일상의 회복과 코로나-19 극복의 염원을 담아,2021년에도 군민 여러분의 가정에 건강과 행복이 충만하시고 뜻하시는 모든 소원이 이루어지는 풍요로운 한해가 되시길 진심으로 기원 드립니다.

민선7기 3년차인 지난해는 소통과 화합의 열린 행정을 통해 군민의 역량을 하나로 결집, 더 나은 미래를 위한 칠곡의 위상을 높이는데 행정력을 집중하였습니다.그러나, 아시다시피 우리 군도 지난해 2월, 장애인 생활시설에서 집단으로 확진자가 발생하면서 코로나-19 위기가 시작되었습니다.

이에 군민의 안전과 경제위기 극복을 최우선 가치로 두고즉각적인 방역활동과 감염경로 차단에 행정력을 집중하며 확진자 동선관리, 선별진료소 운영 및 자가격리자 관리 등에 만전을 기하였습니다.특히, 송정자연휴양림의 예방적 2차 격리시설 운용,군청을 비롯한 공공시설 및 다중이용시설 방역,외국인 유학생 관리, 안심식당 운영 등 신속하고 선제적으로 대응하였습니다.

특히, 2019년도에 35만 여명이 다녀간 지역의 대표 축제인낙동강 세계평화문화대축전 마저도 아쉽게 취소하는 등 우리의 일상들이 무너지고, 비대면 사회로 급속히 전환되어 군민의 삶은 점점 더 어려워 졌습니다. 안타깝게도 이 난국은 아직 끝이 보이지도 않고 현재도 진행 중입니다만, 이제 우리는 희망을 이야기 해야만 합니다.어려운 때일수록 모두가 긴장의 끈을 놓지 말고,가족과 이웃을 위한 적극적인 사회적 거리두기 실천과 서로 양보하고 배려하는 등 코로나-19 종식을 위해 함께 해 주시기 바랍니다.

현재 우리사회는 코로나의 여파로비대면, 디지털 경제로 빠르게 변화하고 있습니다.스마트 시스템의 도입과 친환경 교통수단의 보급 등 일상 곳곳에서 군민들께서 체감할 수 있는 디지털․그린․스마트 뉴딜을 적극 추진하겠습니다.

온가족행복센터의 내실 있는 운영을 통해 결혼이주 여성들의 안정적인 정착을 지원하고,여성과 아동이 언제 어디서나 안심하고 생활할 수 있도록 세밀하게 살피는 등 최선의 노력을 다하여 영유아부터 어르신까지 행복한 복지환경을 조성하고차별과 소외가 없는 맞춤 복지를 실현하겠습니다. 이와 함께, 지난해 12월 준공된 칠곡군 보훈회관을 활성화 하는 등 국가유공자에 대한 지원과 예우를 강화하고 생애주기별 맞춤형 교육환경 지원도 소홀함 없이 추진하여 아이 키우기 좋은 칠곡을 만들어 나가겠습니다.

아울러, 삶의 여유와 군민건강 증진을 위하여 북삼과 석적에 각각 건립하고 있는 국민체육센터를 차질 없이 추진하고 왜관읍 도시재생 뉴딜사업, 전선지중화사업, 북삼역 신설 등의 대규모 사업들을 균형 있고 조화롭게 시행하여명품 미래도시 칠곡을 위해 더욱 노력하겠습니다.
