홍석준 의원(국민의힘, 대구 달서구갑)이 국회에서 활발한 입법 활동을 펼친 공로를 인정받아 국회입법조사처로부터 국회의장 표창을 수상했다고 25일 밝혔다.

국회입법조사처는 국회의원의 의정활동을 지원하기 위해 2007년에 설립된 국회 소속 입법정책지원기관으로, 매년 설립 기념식을 맞아 조사회답 우수 국회의원을선정하여 국회의장 표창(공로패)을 수여한다.

이에 금년 개최되는 14주년 기념식을 맞아 국회입법조사처의 조사회답을 적극 활용하고 활발한 의정활동을 펼쳐 국회 위상강화와 국회입법조사처의 발전에 기여한 공로로 홍석준 의원을 우수의원으로 선정했다.

홍 의원은 중소기업 승계 활성화를 통한 ‘히든챔피언’을 양성할 수 있는 ‘상속세 및 증여세법’일부 개정안 을 1호 법안으로 시작하여, ▲중소기업 인력지원 사업에 ‘부동산업’을 포함하는 ‘중소기업인력지원 특별법’일부 개정안▲국산 소재를 사용한 군복을 우선 구매하도록 하는 ‘방위사업법’일부 개정안 ▲외국인의 국내 부동산 취득 제한으로 우리나라 국민의 주거권을 수호하는 ‘부동산 거래 신고법’일부 개정안 ▲대한민국의 신산업(바이오)과 K-뷰티 산업 발전을 위해 인체 폐지방을 줄기세포를 통한 의료기술 및 의약품 개발 등에활용할 수 있도록 허용하는 ‘폐기물 관리법’일부 개정안 등을 대표 발의하며 활발한 입법활동을 펼치고 있다.

홍석준 의원은 “입법부 기관인 국회의원으로서 마땅히 해야 할 일을 했을 뿐인데공로패를 받게 되어 감사할 따름이다”라며“앞으로도 경제를 살리고 민생을 지키는데 있어 법의 사각지대가 발생하지 않도록 깊은 관심을 가지고 입법 활동을해나가도록 하겠다 ”고 소감을 밝혔다.
