국민의힘 홍석준 의원(대구 달서갑)이 백현동 아파트 특혜 문제에 대해 거짓 변명으로 일관한 더불어민주당 이재명 후보를 강하게 비판했다.
홍석준 후보는 지난 11일 대선후보 TV토론에서 국민의힘 윤석열 후보가 토지용도를 4단계나 상향하면서 용적률을 올려준 50미터 옹벽의 성남시 백현동 아파트 특혜에 대해 질문하자, 이재명 후보가 “관련 부서에서 처리한 것으로 자신은 세부내용을 모른다, 불법이 있거나 잘못된 것이라고 결론난 것이 없다”고 주장한 것에 대해 “이재명 후보가 거짓 변명을 하면서 손바닥으로 하늘을 가리려 한다”며 비판에 나섰다.
홍 의원은 “이재명 후보가 당시 성남시장으로서 자연녹지에서 준주거지로 토지 용도를 4단계나 종상향하는 상식적으로 이해가 되지 않는 특혜를 주고, 당초 100% 임대아파트를 짓기로 한 것을 개발계획을 변경해 분양아파트를 90%나 허용하는 엄청난 특혜를 주는 결재문서에 최소 두 차례 이상 직접 결재를 해놓고 세부내용을 몰랐다고 하는 것은 국민을 우습게 알고 거짓 변명을 하는 것”이라고 지적했다.
작년 11월 최재해 감사원장 후보자 인사청문회에서 홍석준 의원은 백현동 아파트 관련 감사원 감사 과정에서 한국식품연구원 직원 4명에 대해서는 해임 등의 중징계 처분을 하면서 정작 성남시에 대한 감사는 이루어지지 않은 문제를 지적했었다. 현재 감사원은 용도변경 등 특혜의혹이 제기된 성남시 백현동 아파트 개발사업과 관련해 성남시에 대한 감사를 진행 중이다.
홍석준 의원은 “백현동 아파트 특혜에 연루된 한국식품연구원 직원들은 이미 해임 등 중징계를 받았고, 성남시에 대한 감사가 현재 진행되고 있는 상황에서 곧 모든 비리가 드러날 것임에도 이재명 후보가 ‘불법이 있거나 잘못된 것이라고 결론난 것이 없다’고 말하는 것은 국민을 우롱하는 후안무치(厚顔無恥)”라고 질타를 이어갔다.
아울러 특혜의혹이 제기된 백현동 아파트 개발사업과 관련해 성남시에 대한 감사를 진행 중인 감사원에 대해 “성남시에 대한 감사결과 발표를 대선 이후로 미루지 말고, 어떠한 정치적 고려도 없이 감사결과를 사실 그대로 조속히 발표하여 감사원의 독립성을 스스로 증명해야 할 것”이라고 강조했다.
