【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자=오세혁 후보의 마지막 집중 유세가 열린 경산오거리의 31일 오후 5시 30분 풍경은 수많은 시민들의 함성으로 모처럼 선거 유세장다운 모습이 연출됐다.

오세혁 후보 및 무소속 후보들을 보기 위해 모여든 수많은 시민들은 연설자들의 유세 중간중간 “오세혁”을 외쳤다. 

이날 유세에도 허개열, 정재학, 김일부, 유윤선, 황상조 등 오세혁 후보의 공동선대위원장이 연단에 올라 ‘경산의 혁신’과 ‘오세혁 후보의 당선’을 위해 표를 모아달라고 호소했다. 

마지막 연설자로 연단에 오른 오세혁 후보는 “어제 언론 보도에서 상대 후보가 나를 지칭해 탈당을 두 번이나 한 후보”라고 자신을 비난했다고 말하고 “처음에는 당협위원장이 최경환 지우기를 하기 위해 나를 공천에서 배제했고, 지금은 나 혼자가 아니라 공천 횡포에 불복하는 다수가 탈당한 것” 이라고 강조했다.

또, “국회의원이 ‘복당은 없다’ 라고 못을 박았다는데, 지금 제가 복당한다고 해도 과연 우리 지역 국회의원이 복당을 시켜주겠냐”고 물은 뒤 “2년 후에는 국회의원도 바꿔야 한다”고 말해 군중들의 환호를 받았다. 

오 후보는 또 “저는 오랜 정당 생활로 중앙 정계에도 인맥이 두텁다” 라고 말하면서 “국회의원이 못하는 몫까지 제가 확실히 경산발전을 챙기겠다“고 목소리를 높였다.  

오 후보는 그동안 함께 해 준 선후배들에게도 감사의 인사를 전했다. 오 후보는 “공동선대위원장으로 활약했던 선후배님들의 도움 덕분에 제가 이 자리에 있다”라며 환호하는 지지자들을 향해 “오늘 여러분들께서 보여준 사랑을 잊지 않겠다. 한 순간도 곁눈질하지 않고 열심히 일해 일등 경산을 만들겠다” 라고 거듭 강조했다.
